ELCA World Impact
ELCA World Impact extends curriculum beyond the classroom to provide our ELCA families with cultural, educational, and ministerial experiences both locally and around the world.
Come join us for one of our exciting adventures during the 2017-18 school year. We hope that all of our high school students will choose to participate in at least one of the trips. There are eight trips being offered, some being ministerial in nature, others being academic. Parents will also be welcomed on some of the trips, as space is available. If you have any questions, you can contact our World Impact coordinator, Holly Capp. The trips are scheduled at different times of the year in an attempt to allow more students to participate. Furthermore, we are encouraging families to begin funding their student's trip in June, in hopes of making it more affordable. The number of payments will depend on the number of months until departure.
DATES TO REMEMBER
*April 30, 2017 – Online Sign-ups – 12th grade students will be given first priority. Seniors-5:00PM, Juniors-6:00PM, Sophomores-7:00PM and Freshmen-8:00PM.
*May 1, 2017 – Trips are officially confirmed when deposit is received. Deposits will be accepted at ELCA in the high school commons area. Doors open at 7:00AM. Mrs. Capp will be in the commons area until 8:00 AM. Between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, deposits will be accepted in room 603 on the middle school wing. Deposits, along with trip authorization form, must be received by 4:00 PM on Monday, May 1 or your reservation is at risk of being released to the waiting list. Make checks payable to ELCA.

*Departure Dates are subject to change based on airfare and availability.
*The deposit and trip authorization form are required at signup. Deposit should be made in cash/check (made payable to ELCA) only. Billing is NOT available for paying the deposit.
*All trips are subject to change. If a minimum number is not met, a trip could be cancelled. The deposit would be returned on cancelled trips and an attempt will be made to place student on another trip.
*Space is limited for most trips. Waitlists may exist and names will be added to the roster if we are able to accommodate.
Detailed Trip Information - COMING SOON
We work diligently to be good stewards of all monies donated for World Impact trips. When there are funds remaining from a particular trip, those funds will be placed into the general budget of World Impact to assist with our overall World Impact program. Furthermore, we will be able to return any excess money paid by a parent if the overage was due to non-custodial charitable contributions. More specifically, if a parent pays the amount due, yet charitable contributions make the account exceed the published cost of the trip, then the excess can be reimbursed to the parent. We cannot give the parent more than they paid into the account however. There are two stipulations for reimbursement: the trip has returned from travel and the parent sends a written request to Mrs. Capp for the refund.
