How can I find out what's going on at the school?
We use a number of tools to communicate with our families. Our website is a valuable source of a variety of information. The ELCA News page has information about current events updated weekly. It also includes the Morning Announcements made by Administration each morning to keep parents up-to-date on a daily basis. A Calendar of events is located on our Home page that allows you to search by month. Monthly enewsletters are emailed to families at the beginning of each month. If you are not receiving these and would like to subscribe, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Finally, school-specific emails are sent to families to provide important details for events pertaining to certain grades.
Does the school have any specific events whose purpose is to connect families with administration?
Communicating with our families is a top priority for our academy. We start the year off with a Back to School Day, which is a time to fellowship with our families, participate in an All School Worship service and dedicate the school year in prayer. Mid-year, we schedule a State of School Address, which is a time to celebrate accomplishments of the school year, and inform families of upcoming plans, including re-enrollment information for the next school year. Each Friday there is a meeting of parents interested in praying for our school, our administration, teachers and students. Praying Parents meets at 8:00AM each Friday in the Music Suite. Quarterly, the PTF hosts Parent Coffees which allow families to join with administration in informational gatherings and Q&A sessions. Dates for these events may be found on the Calendar.
Where do I go to drop off and pick up my child?
To minimize traffic congestion in the mornings and afternoons, we have designated drop off and pick up areas for the different schools. To learn more about your child's school car pool plan, please view our car pool videos. If you have multiple children in different schools, please contact the specific school's secretary to work out the best plan for your family.
What are the uniform requirements for different grades?
Uniform requirements vary between the different schools. Uniform information and guidelines are listed on the school store's webpage. As a convenience to our families, all uniform needs may be purchased at the ELCA School Store.
