Will ELCA issue financial credits or refunds?
With all the uncertainties surrounding the evolving COVID-19 situation, we cannot yet provide a complete answer. We ask our families to please bear with us in the coming weeks as we hope to develop a clearer picture about the impact on Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy. As always, we commit to proactively communicating with all of our families as soon as we can.
ELCA Administration is working diligently with SAGE to refund lunch charges. A credit has been applied to your April statement for lunches missed while school has been closed. Those who use the Conyers bus service will also see a credit for that service. We are working with each vendor that we've utilized for field trips, educational trips, and mission trips to refund as many of those charges as possible to affected families (parents will be contacted separately regarding refunds as those funds are received by ELCA). We are consistently evaluating all expenses to ensure the most prudent stewardship of resources during these unprecedented times.
Our leadership team has, however, determined that we will not be issuing refunds or credits for tuition as we are continuing to provide instruction, just doing so in a different way by moving physical classroom instruction to online. We encourage families who are experiencing financial consequences from the pandemic to apply for financial aid. More information may be found at https://www.elcaonline.org/apps/pages/tuition
Will the school year be extended into June?
It is too soon to say whether we will need to extend the school year. However, we will proactively communicate with you as soon as we are able to make that determination.
What are my responsibilities as a parent during this time?
Parents may find themselves in the role of facilitator for younger students. Please make sure your children are diligent in meeting the remote learning expectations outlined by their principals and teachers.
How long will remote school continue? How will the school determine when to resume operations as normal?
In light of the rapidly changing landscape, our leadership team will reassess our policies on a weekly basis. We will communicate any changes as early as circumstances permit. We will continue to work with our local, state, and federal partners to address the impacts of COVID-19 to plan accordingly.
Who do I contact if I am unable to access my materials and/or if I experience technical difficulties?

Will athletics, co-curricular and after-school activities be canceled?
All GHSA athletics (games, practices, and tryouts) are cancelled for remainder of school year. We are waiting on decisions on summer activities, which will come at a later date. All other after-school activities and co-curriculars have been canceled for the time being.
