The Kingdom Athlete is

...a child of God daily surrendered to His will and for His service, athlete who seeks to glorify God through his actions, athlete who adopts the “Win the Day” philosophy in all areas of life, athlete who is humble and grateful for his gifts and opportunities, athlete who is submissive to authority, athlete who has a teachable spirit, athlete who leads by serving others, athlete who strives for victory, gives perfect effort and never quits. athlete who understands he represents more than himself. athlete who is not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ and seeks opportunities to share the good news with teammates, parents, officials, opponents and to the multitude of children that will look to them as they model Christ-like leadership.

Virtual Instruction through ELCA Connect

For those families interested in virtual instruction for 2021-2022, ELCA Connect offers the option of taking all courses online via a Christian-based platform. This affords our ELCA Connect virtual students the opportunity to participate in all extra-curricular, fine arts and athletics programs offered at ELCA. The following information applies to students in grades 6–12. A program for grades 3-5 is COMING SOON.

The online courses are high-quality and Christ-centered.  Courses are developed to engage students with the learning objectives through authentic and rigorous assessments such as homework assignments, quizzes, collaborative and individual projects, hands-on activities and labs, oral assessments, multimedia presentations, essays, research projects, discussions, live conversations with instructors, and cumulative exams.

All tests and semester exams require in-person proctoring on the ELCA campus, which assist in ensuring academic integrity and approval for course credit.  Courses are available 24 hours a day and students asynchronously access their course materials and complete assignments. There are no live lectures or specific webinars to attend. Students may schedule an appointment with their instructor or email him/her at any time to ask questions or to get help with their assignments.

The online program requirements include:

  • Limited course selections for grades 6 - 12

  • Minimum enrollment of 7 classes

  • In person proctored tests and semester exams

  • No in-person classes

  • No on campus presence during the school day except for testing

  • Participation in sports and fine arts allowed after school

  • Participation in mission trips, field trips, prom, senior lunch, graduation and other school sponsored events
