Who we are
Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy is a gospel-centered, Kingdom-focused, college-preparatory school south of Atlanta that exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the glory of God. As a ministry of Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church, we are committed to educating the whole child and equipping students to understand how they fit into God’s story.

From preschool through graduation, students are cared for, challenged, and encouraged to excel through rigorous academics, exemplary fine arts, and championship-caliber athletics while growing in faith, character, leadership, and service within a strong school community.

Faith
At ELCA, faith is rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word. We want students to know Jesus, be transformed by His work on the cross, and grow through discipleship, stewardship, and service. Every class is taught through a biblical worldview, helping students see their education, gifts, and future as part of God’s story
Academics
Academic excellence at ELCA begins with a strong foundation. Our college-preparatory curriculum is built on a biblical worldview and challenges students to think critically, learn deeply, and pursue excellence. Students are supported and equipped with the knowledge, discipline, and character they need to become disciples of Jesus Christ and make a difference in the world around them.
Opportunity
Students at ELCA are given various opportunities to discover, develop, and enjoy the gifts God has given them. At every age and stage, students can explore their interests and passions – whether on the stage, on the field, through leadership, or while traveling the world. Through these experiences, students have opportunities to discover how they are uniquely gifted, how they fit into God’s story, and how He can use them to make a difference in the world.
Community
Community at ELCA is seen and felt in the everyday moments – in classrooms, on the sidelines, at performances, through school traditions, and in the way our students, families, staff, and faculty show up for one another in times of celebration and times of need. The Bible and The Church
ELCA believes that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for reproof, correction, instruction, and righteousness. The Church has been and always will be God’s instrument to fulfill His purposes here on earth. (II Timothy 3:16, Acts 2:42-47)

Our story
Rooted in faith
Growing with purpose
Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy traces its roots to McDonough Christian Academy, founded in 1970. In 1994, the school became a ministry of Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church and began a new chapter as Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy. ELCA opened that year with 170 students, and by 1999 enrollment had grown to 593.
That growth led the church and school to make a significant decision: relocate together to a new 86-acre campus on Highway 42 North. The new campus opened in 2000 and created room for ELCA to continue growing its academic, athletic, fine arts, and student-life programs.
In the years since, the campus has continued to develop alongside the needs of ELCA students and families. New learning spaces, athletic facilities, preschool and elementary play areas, gathering spaces, and campus improvements reflect a school that has continued to grow while remaining rooted in the same mission.

1971-1993: McDonough Christian Academy became Meadow Creek Academy and then Greater Atlanta Christian School – Meadow Creek Campus

1994: School becomes a ministry of Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church and begins operating as Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy
