•READING TEACHER / STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

Reading teacher needed to instruct students in grades 3, 4, and 5 in Student Support Services.  FACS (Fluency and Comprehension Skills) is a small reading class setting offered to students who are struggling with reading processes within the classroom. It is an intensive reading intervention class which uses the Read Naturally online computer program to remediate and teach reading fluency and comprehension. The goal of the program is to assist students in becoming proficient readers who have a comprehensive understanding of what they read in all subject areas. Class size is limited to seven students. Bachelor's teaching degree required (master’s preferred); experience with struggling readers preferred. Interested applicants should submit a completed ELCA employment application and signed background check form to Dr. King

•ELEMENTARY TEACHER

Reports to: Elementary Principal

Overview: Responsible for effective instruction in all academic subjects and supporting the overall mission of ELCA in glorifying God through Kingdom Education. A commitment to excellence is expected.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • GAPSC certification, ACSI certification/or eligible for certification

•ELEMENTARY PARA-PROFESSIONAL

Reports to : Elementary Principal

Overview : Provide support for the classroom teacher in working with students, completing classroom clerical work, assisting with classroom management, meeting the needs of students.

•MATHEMATICS | GRADE 6

Reports to: Middle School Principal

Overview: Responsible for effective mathematics instruction in the classroom and supporting the overall mission of ELCA in glorifying God through Kingdom Education. A commitment to excellence is expected.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • GAPSC certification, ACSI certification / or eligible for certification

•MATHEMATICS | HIGH SCHOOL (Algebra I, Geometry, or Trigonometry)

Reports to: High School Principal

Overview: Responsible for effective mathematics instruction in the classroom and supporting the overall mission of ELCA in glorifying God through Kingdom Education. A commitment to excellence is expected.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • GAPSC certification, ACSI certification / or eligible for certification

•SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS

If you are interested in applying for a substitute teacher position, please submit a completed ELCA employment application and signed background check form to Shari Allen.

 

Qualified candidates are asked to come for an interview, and if hired, attend substitute training. Upon successful completion of training, you are placed on the substitute list. Please be aware that while we strive to provide advance notice, substitutes may receive a call the night before, or early in the morning of the day they are needed. You are not under obligation to accept the offered position. Substitutes may designate preference to work with specific age groups (preschool, lower school, middle school, or high school).
